Nine pages in and I’m still on deadline. And back on deadline for Dog eat Doug too. Wasn’t sure if I’d be able to hack another strip, even if it was only once a week. So far, fingers crossed. It’s mostly due to having the writing and plotting done. Then it’s just a matter of producing the art and I’m getting the process down for this style slowly but surely.
Would love to here what you think so far in the blank little comment section below, or on twitter, or facebook, or G+ or…right, too much socializing might be a bad thing. Please just drop a note below.
Oh, and how many magic/magician allusions have you picked up on?

I’m reserving judgment so far — the story hasn’t really started yet — but I like the distinctive art style, especially the sudden burst of color today. Very striking.
I don’t really know enough about the history of magic to pick up on any of the allusions, sorry.
A little early to comment on plot points, but the art is terrific and the story seems to be unfolding at a suspenseful but not too slow pace. Keep going.
Wow, thanks Mike! Thrilled you’re reading it. And there will be lots of sharp twisty spikes on those plot points.
Thanks Joe. And don’t worry, it picks up…a lot…soon.
Brian,
So, I finally caught up with the storyline.
The art is great. Very atmospheric.
I’m intrigued by the story and do want to know where it’s going.
so I guess that means you’re also great at story telling.
You talented so and so.
I’m flabbergasted with the amount of work you generate.
it’s all great stuff.

Thanks, man! Glad you’re hooked. Things start to pick up and thicken in the next few pages.
